2 Step Verification

Welcome to 2 step verification setup guidelines. Here you will find step by step instructions about how to setup 2 step verification for your Wycliffe Identity and your Wycliffe Google Email accounts.

What is 2 step verification? 2 step verification requires you to use two different methods, password and something else, to gain access. That something else can be a smartphone app, a security key, and backup printable codes. Passwords are no longer a protection against hackers, so adding a smartphone app or security key as a second method provides that additional level of security against hackers.

Why is Wycliffe requiring 2 step verification? Security is the short answer. Simple passwords cannot protect Wycliffe from hackers trying to do harm to Wycliffe or your accounts. 2 step verification is a solution to closing the gap between lowest level protection and better protection. We are requiring you to have one type of verification in addition to you password, and we recommend you have two types. You will setup verification for both your Wycliffe Identity Account and your Wycliffe Google Email Account.
